Garter Lane Arts Centre is a vibrant and thriving venue for visual arts, theatre, dance, comedy, music, film and literature in the heart of Waterford City. Garter Lane Arts Centre welcomes over 30,000 visitors annually and is supported by the Arts Council, Waterford City & County Council, the Department of Social Protection, its Patrons and Friends. Garter Lane Arts Centre has been at the heart of the artistic community of Waterford for over 30 years, through its diverse year-round programme of exhibitions, performances and outreach events. Occupying a former Quaker meeting house which was built in 1792, it now boasts a 160 seater theatre, main gallery space and front of house exhibition space.

Garter Lane Arts Centre invites local, national and international visual artists and curators to submit proposals for the 2017/2018 exhibitions programme. Garter Lane Arts Centre welcomes ambitious proposals from individual artists and groups, working in any media and at any career stage. The deadline for submissions is 10am, Wednesday 31st of August 2016.

Please note that submissions are accepted electronically only, via email to visualarts@garterlane.ie with 'Open Call' followed by your proposed exhibition title in the subject field. The submissions panel will endeavour to inform all applicants about the outcome of their submission by mid September 2016. Late or incomplete submissions will not be accepted. Please note that postal submissions will not be accepted or returned. Queries may be submitted via email only to visualarts@garterlane.ie. Please note that Garter Lane Arts Centre cannot accept telephone queries in relation to the 2017/18 Exhibitions Open Call.
