Garter Lane Friends: €12.50
Tender Mercies by Colette Cullen
One for sorrow, two for joy, three for a girl - me, Mary Fortune and seven for my story that's going to be told. In a powerful performance Denise Quinn is Mary Fortune. From the womb to the tomb, through the highs and the lows of a life spiraling out of control until a broken thing like her is alone. Poignant, highly theatrical and blackly comic from the makers of festival hits Beasts, Blind Date and Yes.
Denise's many acclaimed performances include Annie Wilkes in Misery (Suirfire Productions) for which she won a Green Room Award for Best Actress and BagLady (Red Kettle Theatre Co) which earned her a Green Room Award for best solo performance. Denise's most recently penned play The Bluebell Stop had its world premiere in Garter Lane Theatre in 2013 and was a resounding success with both audiences and critics. Originally developed for Smock Alley's Scene + Heard 2017 festival.
