Exploring Behind the Vitrolite Shopfront

Join us in Garter Lane Arts Centre for a Free Family Workshop inspired by Albert Walsh's exhibition Behind the Vitrolite Shopfront.

This photography exhibition invites us behind the 1950s Art Deco shopfront of Hogan Hairdressers and into a world where traditional practices have changed very little - a glimpse of how a little piece of Americana was brought to 1950s Waterford!
As part of Bealtaine Festival of creativity as we age, grandparents are particularly welcome along with their grandchildren to inspire them with memories of much-loved shops from their childhood for making their own pop-up shops.

This workshop is suitable for children from 5-12 years and parents/grandparents/guardians must accompany children throughout the workshop.

This workshop is free but places are limited so booking in advance is required to avoid tears!
