Arts Centres, theatres, and all types of arts centres have seen reductions in audience attendance since the Covid 19 pandemic. Research shows that attendance is around 20% below pre-Covid levels.
The Arts Council is delighted to announce a national advertising campaign, reminding audiences of the joy and excitement that comes with attending live arts performances. The campaign, Live Is, reminds us of the unique joy that comes with experiencing live performance. The campaign will run across national and local media, in addition to a wide-spread digital campaign.
A key part of the Arts Council strategy, Making Great Art Work, is to invest in public engagement. The Live Is campaign provides support to the vital network of arts centres and venues in connecting with local audiences. This campaign is an investment in our audiences and the sector.
