Breaking Ground is a pioneering artist development course designed to give creatives the space, strategies and tools to build more sustainable and productive careers in the arts.
This Spring, join Waterford-born actor & qualified career coach Andrew Macklin for a two-day professional artist development course, split over two Saturdays.
The fee includes a five-hour group workshop (plus lunch at The Granary) on Saturday 25th March, 11-5pm at Garter Lane Theatre.
Then, benefit from a one-to-one online career coaching session with Andrew at a date / time of your choice, before regrouping with your fellow creatives for the concluding workshop on Saturday 22nd April, 11-5pm at Garter Lane Theatre (refreshments included).
ABOUT BREAKING GROUND
In this its 3rd year, Breaking Ground will be brought to participants both in person and online. Combining group workshops with individual sessions aimed at harnessing the collective energy that arises naturally when a group shares in that interpersonal atmosphere, and offering the participant peer to peer learning opportunities. Group workshops will take place in Garter lanes Arts Centres beautiful theatre space.
Using evidence-based approaches to facilitate development, this course offers creatives a combination of training, facilitated group discussion, and individual coaching sessions aimed at:
- Building personal agency
- Developing strategic skills
- Expanding professional capacity
Breaking Ground 3:
- Will focus on one specific aspect or specific project (that the participant wishes to spotlight) and bring that area/specific project into sharp focus for the participant
- Identify why that area requires attention & assistance
- Outline routes of progression on that area/specific project
