Cormac O’Raifeartaigh is a lecturer in physics in the Dept of Science, Waterford Institute of Technology and a visiting Associate Professor of the School of Physics, UCD. He is a research associate at Dublin Institute of Advanced Studies and has been elected a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and the Institute of Physics. He is also engaged in research on the history and philosophy of 20th century science. A frequent contributor to the media, he is the author of the science blog Antimatter.ie and Science Ambassador for Discover Science & Engineering Ireland.
