To Carrauntohill! is a fast-paced farce about a gang member who, while trying to plant explosives in the Louth Garda Station, gets distracted by an elderly man who believes his wife has turned into a sheep. The result of which means that he must undergo the gargantuan task of trying to get to the top of the highest mountain in Ireland so that the Virgin Mary will descend from Heaven and turn the sheep woman into an angel. An added difficulty is that the gang member is wanted dead or alive by other gang members, by An Garda Síochana, by the son of the sheep woman and by many characters who are encountered along the way.
