Garter Lane Arts Centre is delighted for Waterford based Dance/Aerial artist
Rachel Ni Bhraonain as the recipient of an Arts Council Dance Bursary award.
Supported by the arts centre, this development will assist Rachel through mentorship, practice and research development, where she will use the centres dance studio as a base.
Garter Lane was thrilled to be in a position to commission Rachel earlier in the year to create a Dance Response to BLUE an exhibition that spent much of its time in our gallery under lockdown. The filmed piece “Marian” (subsequently programmed as part of the GAZE film festival) was created by Rachel and filmmaker Ger O’ Keeffe and was screened on Culture Night, and during Well Fest 202, We greatly look forward to welcoming Rachel to the Artscentre as she embarks on a new journey…..
