Little is known about the mysterious Dr. Deadlyboy, who communicates only through postal mail and with no return address ever being provided, it is almost impossible to get in touch with him for a statement or interview. This is one doctor you don’t make an appointment with.

His work aims to capture a glimpse into the comings and goings of what he deems as the “creme de la blaa” of Waterford.

Other than a few animations and experimental videos that he is believed to have made, but never officially taken credit for, there is virtually no record of his body of work. Some critics believe that Dr. Deadlyboy is the individual responsible for the infamous 2010 garden gnome invasion of Waterford city.

Recently new information has emerged that he is the owner of the largest known private collection of Quinnsworth and Crazy Prices Lisduggan receipts in the world. He is in the process of sorting through the collection, estimated to consist of anything from 10,000 to 30,000 individual pieces, and dating from 1975 to 1997. Dr. Deadlyboy is currently working on putting together a selection of carefully curated Crazy Prices receipts for an exciting new exhibition in the new year future.

About Work: WERE YOU MADE DOWN THE GLASS FACTORY ERSUM is the first part of a documentation of a selection of real quotes that were observed and documented around the streets of Waterford by Dr. Deadlyboy.

This is the third edit of this piece, is exclusive to Garter Lane and will never been shown anywhere ever again. In the first edit, despite being told that there projections were purely visual and with no audio present, Dr. Deadlyboy went ahead and produced an elaborate 4-hour soundtrack of 90s-inspired dance music to accompany the piece. After he found out it would not be possible to showcase this, he removed the sound in the second edit and sent back the new cut on a USB stick cellotaped to a postcard with the note “what do ye mean no sound…. what typa micky mouse setup is this”

For the third and final edit, he once again sent back the file stuck to a postcard with the explanation “Here I was thinkin they were a few quare wans in it I had to cut or else I be upsetting all the chewlips around the town.”

The end result is showcased here for the first and only time.
