Dens, holts, dreys, burrows, nests, lairs — we all need them. Spaces to retreat to, to dream in, to gnaw on old bones or birth new pups.

Recent arrivals to Waterford’s creative scene from the ruins of the UK, award-winning ‘broken folk’ duo Lunatraktors (Carli Jefferson and Clair Le Couteur) invite you to join them in the den they’ve made in A Little Room, the Garter Lane Theatre development space.

After developing new sonic compositions while touring venues and festivals in France and the UK, Lunatraktors take this opportunity to return to their roots in performance art and experimental theatre. DEN is the first form of an immersive theatre work, combining movement, percussion, vocal harmonics, folk song, costume and installation. DEN is an effort to fold time, to give voice to our deep pasts and post-apocalyptic futures, and to reawaken sensations of wild togetherness in the face of generations of national, religious and corporate imperialism.
