Support Garter Lane Arts Centre and celebrate our 40th anniversary with this newly commissioned Kathi Burke design zippered tote bag, bringing together the recently redeveloped Studios and Theatre buildings in the heart of Waterford City. Garter Lane Arts Centre first opened on 8th September 1984.
Kathi Burke is currently an artist in residence at Garter Lane Studios and recently exhibited her work in our Main Gallery with her solo show, ‘The Tapestry Room’.
Drawing inspiration from an archival design that marked the launch of Garter Lane (1984) Kathi brings together our two venues to create this unique and beautiful artwork that we feel really captures the essence of the Arts Centre today.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Kathi Burke, from Dunmore East, Co. Waterford, is an artist, writer, and illustrator recognized for her diverse collaborations with children’s book publishers and commercial clients, often under the childhood moniker Fatti Burke. Over the past decade, her work has included exhibitions, children’s books, brand collaborations, printmaking, merchandise design and creativity workshops for young people.
