About IBBY Ireland:

IBBY Ireland was founded in 1998 as a non-profit organisation with the aims of promoting children’s books at a national and an international level. It endorsed the aims of IBBY to promote international understanding by endeavouring the development of international networks linking Ireland with the international children’s book community.

The Section has had several projects including Storytelling from around the world, where one primary school worked with an illustrator / author to tell stories from their own cultures and Superhero, where an author/illustrator worked with children in a refugee centre to create their own superheroes, as well as activities for World Book Day.

Silent Books at SprÓg:

IBBY Ireland Silent Books are available to explore throughout the week of SprÓg. Make sure to ask our Box Office Staff.

Be sure to join us on Saturday the 8th of July as we explore a selection of Silent Books as part of a bespoke workshop.
