A Little Room presents With Friends Like These by Darren Malone
With Friends Like These is a show about a group of guys who try to navigate a night out on the town and all that can go wrong will go wrong, but no matter what is put in front of them, they are determined to overcome and see what they have been missing .
Darren Malone is a 38 year old actor from Waterford city and has been involved in theatre from a very young age. He has worked with pretty much every theatre company in Waterford and others all over Ireland, shows including Bouncers, Lieutenant of Inishmore, Stags and Hens, The Crucible, Sister Act, Glee and Teechers, just to name a few.
Darren is the owner and mind behind Happy Robot Productions and with this company, they have toured Ireland with the award winning play Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me, Macbeth and recently had his own written work on stage called Yesteryear, which Darren also directed, which played for four sold out performances and standing ovations on each night. Yesteryear was awarded Best New Play of 2023 by Liam Murphy of The Munster Express and it has also been nominated for Best New Play in the Green Room Awards by The Waterford News & Star.
This will be Darren’s second time writing and directing a brand new play and he hopes you all enjoy it as much as he enjoyed writing it.
He is unbelievably excited to show this piece of theatre to an audience.
