Traces Dance Ensemble is a very unique contemporary dance ensemble. The company has a well-earned reputation for challenging perceptions about dance and disability and have enthralled audiences nationwide with thought-provoking contemporary dance performances. They are based at Garter Lane Arts Centre, Waterford and are kindly supported by Creative Ireland, Down Syndrome Ireland Waterford and South Kilkenny and Waterford Council. Several professional Dance Artists have worked extensively with Traces Dance Ensemble over the 14-year history, Dee Grant, Libby Seward, Jess Rowell, Rachel Ni Bhraonain, Trish Murphy to name but a few. All have developed new choreography and build upon the extensive repertoire of original works.

 

About the workshop:

Join Traces Dance Ensemble on Valentine’s Eve, Tuesday February 13th and participate in their dance workshop – ‘A Celebration of Love, Life and Magic’. This inclusive dance workshop is about celebrating love and positivity in your life, aimed at young people aged 18-35yrs (with or without additional needs), led by Brian McSweeney & Grace Howley. This is the third year of this very successful, infectious & inspiring event.

Dress code: Smart black or red – comfortable clothes you can move in
