Garter Lane’s latecomers policy is designed to minimise disruption for performers and other audience members.
1. No Immediate Entry
· Latecomers are usually not allowed to enter right away once the show begins.
· This prevents interruptions during key moments.
2. Suitable Break Admission
· You’ll be admitted at a designated pause (e.g., between scenes, musical numbers, or at an interval).
· Front-of-house staff decide when it’s appropriate based on a pre-show discussion with the company/artist.
3. Alternative Seating
· You may be seated in a different seat temporarily (often at the back or side).
· You can sometimes move to your booked seat at intermission.
4. No Guarantee of Entry
· Some productions (particularly as our venue is intimate) may refuse entry entirely if you’re late. We will let you know what the production has instructed.
5. No Refunds or Exchanges
· Tickets are non-refundable if you miss part or all of the show due to lateness.
Our policy:
· Protects the performance quality and timing
· Avoids distracting actors and audience
· Maintains lighting, sound, and staging cues
The Team at Garter Lane thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
