About Glór
The Glór/ Voices Dance project (by Traces Dance Ensemble) is an incredible new creative dance project, designed to develop and nurture the creativity & expression of seldom heard young people who have additional needs, in Co Waterford & beyond.
Glór aims to put the voice and heart of young people with additional needs, centre stage with a series of accessible, inclusive dance workshops planned for Spring & Autumn 2023. These are facilitated by a dynamic team of experienced contemporary dance artists along with a support worker, as well as public performances and major events to happen over a period of a year and a half. The project will conclude with a ‘Town Take-over Day’ in 2025, by multiple pieces of dance work to be performed around Waterford City by young dance artists with additional needs. The proud focus throughout Glor is to increase young people’s voices, visibility and participation in society.
