In association with Waterford Anti-Racism Month and Waterford Integration Services we have a very special fundraising screening of the award winning documentary Gaza.
It’s hard to imagine anybody living a normal life in the Gaza Strip. Frequently labelled as the world’s largest open-air prison, this is a beautiful portrait of everyday Gazan citizens, leading meaningful lives beyond the rubble of perennial conflict.
In this Irish made cinematic exploration of Gaza, released in 2019, the documentary reveals the daily lives of its inhabitants striving to find purpose amidst the enduring aftermath of conflict. In it we encounter eloquent, tenacious and brave individuals whose endurance and resilience resonates deeply with our shared humanity.
Gaza depicts a people plagued by conflict but not defined by it, painting a tender portrait of a beleaguered society.
Winner, Best Documentary, Dublin Film Critics Award, Dublin International Film Festival 2019.
All donations made on the night will go directly to the Palestine Red Crescent Society.
