About Jo Howard

Jo Howard is a mixed-media artist captivating audiences with her textile and screen-printing creations. Jo’s textile work is a vibrant collage of layered fabrics, often featuring Irish linens, vintage wool blankets, and weather-altered specimens.  Meanwhile, her screenprinting pieces delve into complex imagery, inspired by science fiction and dystopian narratives, her preferred form of escapism.

Jo’s art isn’t just about aesthetics—it delves into themes of hidden truths, mass control, and the influence of systems like the Internet, Communism, and Cults on society.  Her work challenges viewers to confront the invisible forces shaping our world.

Through exaggerated scale and meticulous detail, Jo draws us into her reimagined realities, inviting us to explore the mysteries within.

The exhibition will be running in the Front of House space at Garter Lane Arts Centre from Saturday 24th February until Saturday 18th May.
