I have found my spot to paint, an excitement within me helps to create an emotional response to transfer what I am seeing to my canvas. Painting for me is all about light and shapes. My work is changing constantly to find that freedom in my brush strokes as a conductor before his orchestra, painting is music, there is an energy to every mark I make, an emotional connection between me and my subject.
Marcella is an Oil painter, Watercolourist, based in Waterford City. A member of SEPA Plein Air Painting Group. Received the Gold Award for her painting titled ‘Model Town’ 2021 Art in the Open Plain Air Painting Festival. Awards Doneraile Plein Air Award 2021, Dublin Plein Air Artists Choice Award, 2023, Art in the Open Award 2024. Meagher’s work is held in Wexford Museum of Art Municipal collection, Private Collections. Funded by Arts Council.
