We are thrilled to welcome Blue Raincoat Theatre Company and their production of Mother Courage.
Mother Courage tells the story of Anna Fierling, nicknamed Mother Courage, a peddler who travels across Europe during the Thirty Years’ War. The play questions the justification of warfare, revealing the hypocrisy of a war fought on religious grounds. As the war unfolds, Mother Courage struggles to keep her business afloat and her three children safe.

About Blue Raincoat Theatre Company
Blue Raincoat Theatre Company is a venue-based professional theatre ensemble. Their company and their venue, The Factory Performance Space, were founded in 1991.
They produce between four and six professional productions every year, with an emphasis on staging modern European classics, new writing and new adaptations for stage. They employ a repertory system to tour each of these productions throughout Ireland and internationally.
Blue Raincoat Theatre Company provide a broad range of professional arts related support for community and cultural programming within their immediate region.
They implement training, teaching and cultural development programmes with relevant state agencies and third-level institutions throughout Ireland.
