Ed Devane Presents Living Control
This October, sound artist and creative improviser Ed Devane will be the NAVIGATOR musician in residence at Garter Lane, Waterford, in association with Improvised Music Company.
During the residency, Ed is looking to deeply engage with the people of Waterford through a series of improvised, exploratory music-making workshops, held over the week of 6-14th October. These will culminate in a group performance on Wednesday 14th October at 7 pm in Garter Lane, which is open to the general public free of charge and no booking required
Audiences can then join Ed and his new improvising ensemble for a performance on Wednesday night to witness and enjoy what unfolds.
This will be a free event, but donations towards the participating musicians are welcome.
Speaking in advance of the residency, Ed said: “Through the people I meet, the resonant objects I encounter, and the architectural acoustics I travel through, I will be open to opportunities to collaborate, to play, and to learn.”
