Omega Three Orchestra

Garter Lane Arts Centre is thrilled to welcome back the wonderful Omega Three Orchestra!

 The Omega Three Orchestra make a return visit to Waterford’s Garter Lane Arts Centre on Saturday 19^th  September 2026.  Following their concert in Garter Lane last September the Omegas picked up the award for best concert in the waterford-news.ie Green Room Awards.

The News & Star’s Pat McEvoy had this to say  – ‘’Tonight’s concert at sold-out Garter Lane feels more like we’ve wandered into a session than a formal concert as we know it. It’s folksey, informal, gossipy and great craic. Old friends are chatted to in the audience But….underneath the blather and slaggin’ and the self-deprecation there are real artists at play here whose love of what they do is infectious”. Huge applause…standing ovation…handshakes with the performers and hugs and greetings in the vestibule.

Reviewing the same concert Liam Murphy from ‘The Munster Express’  said – “Omega Three Orchestra returned to a ‘sold out’ Garter Lane Arts Centre to delight a faithful following with new songs and a polished musicality. The eight-piece is possibly the smallest Waterford Orchestra and the largest trio. In the strings section Mickey Dower presides with acoustic bass guitar, Gerry  Power (guitar), Gerry Madden (mandolin and Dylan Bible (guitar. Alan Coonagh leads the brass section with a selection of saxophones and supplies the woodwind as well, Mick Kinsella adds percussion and harmonica magic. Suzanne Rowe shines on piano accordion and keyboards and Francie White makes sense of the blues’’.
