Waterford Film For All Presents – Colours of Time
Brought together by the inheritance of a house in Normandy, four cousins uncover a hidden history. In 1895, their ancestor Adèle (Suzanne Lindon) arrives in Paris, where she discovers a vibrant city on the cusp of modernity, where new artforms – photography and Impressionist painting – are being born. As her descendants retrace Adèle’s steps, the cousins’ more rigid contemporary attitudes are contrasted with those of late 19th century artistic “bon vivants”.
