Garter Lane Arts Centre is recruiting for a Visual Arts Exhibition and Tech
– Be responsible for the install and uninstall of exhibitions
– Responsibility for receiving and professionally unpacking artworks prior to layout
– Repackaging all artwork after uninstall and administering the collection of sold & unsold artworks by art purchasers and artists
– To assist the technical manager in all aspects of theatre shows, concerts, conferences and all other events at the arts centre as required
– To assist all visiting companies by providing access to the theatre with sets/props, sound/light equipment and all other equipment necessary for their production.
– He/she will participate in get ins, fit ups, get outs, etc
– To assist in the rigging of lighting/sound equipment and basic construction duties during each production fit up and all other events as required
– To be familiar with the timing of shows and contents and to liaise with the front of house.
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career progression.
