We deliver dynamic engaging programmes across visual art, performing arts, and cultural development attracting over 40,000 visitors annually. We are seeking a passionate and innovative professional to join our team as our Visual Arts/Education Outreach Manager
Position Overview
This dual-role position is ideal for a highly organised, community-oriented arts professional who thrives in both educational and visual art environments. You will design and deliver meaningful learning experiences, coordinate visual arts programming, and build strong connections with schools, community groups, and artists.
Key Responsibilities
Education & Outreach
- Develop, deliver, and evaluate arts education programs for schools, youth, adult learners, and community groups.
- Create workshops, tours, and resources aligned with curriculum and community needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with educators, community partners, and cultural organisations.
- Support inclusive programming that connects diverse communities with the arts.
Visual Arts Coordination
- Coordinate exhibitions, installations, and visual art events at the Arts Centre.
- Liaise with artists, curators, and contractors regarding exhibition planning and delivery.
- Oversee installation, de-installation, and safe handling of artworks.
- Assist with, budgeting, marketing content, exhibition promotional material.
Skills & Experience
- Qualifications in Visual Arts, Art Education, Arts Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in delivering arts-based education programs or community outreach.
- Strong understanding of gallery operations, exhibition design, and visual arts practice.
- Excellent communication, organisational, budgeting and project-management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively, with a broad team and with diverse stakeholders.
- Creativity, initiative, and a passion for arts accessibility.
- Up to date understanding of sectoral trends and initiatives, and relevant Govt. agencies policies.
